Edited by: Shade Widow on 12/08/2004 15:22:56 It may be how the pod is made. If someone uses only EM damage on thier ship they dont have enough diffrent damage sources to really complain. Not to mention are you mad that you cant kill the pod to make the person lose skill points or because you want thier corpse? ---

Its not like EM is the only damage available its not hard to equip a medium smart bomb either which should take care of things for you if you really need to pod someone. ---

If you really intend to pod someone equip a smart bomb or missile system. You cant expect 1 type of damage to tottally wipe everything out.
The way EM damage would operate is attacking systems and shields that use an electrical output. So when you attack a pod with almost no electrical outputs or electronics your hitting a block of wood with intense electricity. The only damage a pod recieves from this is the shock or minor explosion force of the blast.
Most ships armors have a high resistance to EM damage the pod is just a bit higher. ---

If its such a big issue for you to destroy a pod and you cant stand living without doing it. Im sure some amarr lasers have thermal damage on them. Sure you might think its a pain the butt to switch one of your cyrstals but hey its a pain in the butt when someone gets podded too. If it makes up for it your thermal will get past thier armor when your fighting them faster. ---
